Thank you for your email of 17 March 2026, requesting a breakdown of flexible
funding recipients and expenditure from 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2024.
I have considered your request under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
Please find my decision on your request set out below.
Please refer to the attached
Appendix which provides the following tabs for each
financial year, from 2019/20 to 2023/24:
• Total Client Management System (CMS) expenditure for Flexible Funding by
service line
• Total Client Claims Processing System (CCPS) expenditure for Flexible
Funding Service, by service line
• Total CCPS expenditure for Flexible Funding Service, by service line and
disability category
• Total number of people allocated to Flexible Funding Services, the average
allocated per person, by disability category.
The
Appendix includes a disclaimers tab which provides context and caveats
about the data provided.
In order to protect client privacy, some values are suppressed and are represented
by ‘S’. The Ministry is unable to provide you with the exact number as releasing
this information is likely to risk identifying the individuals concerned. As such, this
information is withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the Act. The need to protect the
privacy of these individuals outweighs and public interest in the information.
I will be publishing this decision letter, with your personal details deleted, on the
Ministry’s website in due course.
