Student Leadership at WC: Underlying Principles
He kaiārahi tatou Katoa
Leadership is within everyone.
Everyone is capable of developing themselves as a leader, to a greater extent than
tradition has ever assumed possible. When we liberate the leader in everyone,
extraordinary things happen.

Student Leadership at WC: Underlying Principles
“The servant-leader is servant first… It begins with the natural feeling that
one wants to serve, to serve first. Then conscious choice brings one to aspire
to lead…
A servant-leader focuses primarily on the growth and well-being of people
and the communities to which they belong…The servant-leader shares
power, puts the needs of others first and helps people develop and perform
as highly as possible.”

Student Leadership at WC: Underlying Principles
Self-leadership …
is the practice of understanding who you are, identifying your desired
experiences, and intentionally guiding yourself toward them. It spans the
determination of
what we do,
why we do it, and
how we do it.
