I write in response to your request dated 3 March 2026, for information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
“I am writing to request any plans that were made for the replacement of 580 Hil sborough Road 
prior to its demolition. The date range for these should go back to at least 2020”. 
Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities is currently in the early planning phase for this site. As 
planning is stil  underway, we do not yet have a preferred development option for the property and 
cannot comment on the likely form of future development at this site, including whether 
580 Hil sborough Road wil  return to being senior social housing. Once planning progresses and 
decisions are confirmed, additional information wil  be made available. The current information on 
our website remains accurate and up to date: Puketāpapa Local Board | Engage Kainga Ora
