Please note that Parking Services also monitors and enforces the use of bus lanes across Wellington
City using static cameras. Council proactively releases this information monthly on our website,
here.
In responding to this request, we have filtered out all bus lane infringements and have focused on
stationary vehicle offences.

While there is no standard guidance, criteria or internal policy documents used by Council when
assessing parking infringement appeals, our team are guided by and trained in the application of
relevant legislation including the Land Transport Act 1998, the Land Transport Road (Road User
Rules) 2004 and the Wellington City Council Traffic and Parking Bylaw 2021.
