We refer to your request of 22 January 2026 to Fire and Emergency New Zealand requesting 
further information relating to MAN appliances under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA). We 
copy and respond to your questions below. 
 
1.  Given that the MAN appliances wil  not be delivered by 25 December 2025, which has now 
passed, wil  Fire and Emergency be issuing any correction or updated timeframes to the 
statement? What is the cause for delay? 
 
In a previous OIA response, Fire and Emergency confirmed the statement that 28 fire pumps 
would be coming out to communities by 25 December 2025 was inaccurate at the time it was 
made. The statement made referred to the delivery date of the trucks, rather than the date that all 
appliances were planned to be operational. The response can be found here. We continue to work 
on the logistics of introducing the appliances into operational service and do not yet have a 
schedule of when this will occur for each station. 
 
2.  Could you please include the “Build Number” for each MAN appliance that is going to these 
stations? 
 
3.  Does this list include the “prototype” MAN trucks supplied by Angloco and SEM? 
Registration Plates PST935 and QQC305? If not, please include this information also. 
 
The build numbers for the 29 Angloco MAN Type 3 appliances, including the trial appliance, are 
P4991, P4992, P4937, P4993, P4994, P4995, P5031, P5032, P5033, P5034, P5035, P5036, P5037, 
P5038, P5039, P5040 P5041, P5042, P5043, P5044, P5045, P5046, P5047, P5048, P5049, P5050, 
P5051, P5052, and P5053. 
 
We have not yet allocated individual appliances to individual stations, except for the trial 
appliance P4937, which is allocated to Rotorua. The SEM MAN appliance, build number 001, is 
allocated to New Plymouth.

4.  Can Fire and Emergency provide a similar list of appliances that wil  be receiving the 
EmergencyOne Scanias? 
 
The two Emergency One Scania appliances are being deployed to Parnel  and Grey Lynn.
