Delay in response to OIA request 
 
We are writing to provide an update on your OIA requests relating to Electrical Safety Amendment 
Regulations. 
 
WorkSafe has received correspondence from the Office of the Ombudsman regarding your 
complaint about the delay in communicating a decision on these requests.  
 
WorkSafe has reviewed all relevant communications and acknowledges there was a delay in 
making and communicating our decision to you. Unfortunately, this was due to an administrative 
error relating to the transfer dates from MBIE to WorkSafe. We apologise for this delay. 
 
We are working through your requests and want to assure you that you can expect our response 
no later than 6 February (noting this is Waitangi Day). 
 
We appreciate your patience in this matter.
