Thank you for your email of 26 November 2025 to the Ministry of Education (the Ministry)
requesting the following information:
Please give all feedback provided by the following people who are named as writers,
contributors and reviewers in Tāhurangi, as well as the Ministry dedicated team’s feedback
on the various iterations of the social sciences curriculum leading up to the curriculum
documents that were released today, 29 October 2025.

I want to see any emails, texts, meeting notes, aide memoires, recollections or other
relevant documents that include the feedback these people gave.

named members and meeting notes for the meetings they attended. Feel free to redact
personal names for their privacy.
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
The Ministry needs to extend the timeframe for responding to your request, pursuant to the
following sections of the Act:
• 15A(1)(a), as the request is for a large quantity of information or necessitates a search
through a large quantity of information, and meeting the original time limit would
unreasonably interfere
with the operations of the Ministry.

• 15A(1)(b), as consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such that a
proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
You can now expect to receive a response to your request on or before 20 February 2026, which is
an extension of 25 working days.
Please note this date takes into account the period commencing with 25 December in any year and
ending with 15 January in the following year, along with Waitangi Day 6 February 2026, which are
not considered to be working days for the purposes of the Act.
