We refer to your request of 17 November 2025 to Fire and Emergency New Zealand requesting 
the following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA): 
 
1.  What are the type and quantity of vehicles arriving before Christmas for acceptance 
testing? 
 
2.  Wil  the acceptance testing be done at a national level in a single location? 
 
We can advise that there are 28 Angloco MAN Type 3 appliances and two Type 1 4WD appliances 
being acceptance tested. The Type 3s are being acceptance tested in Auckland and Type 1s are 
being acceptance tested in Wellington. 
 
3.  Was any information held by FENZ at the time the public statement that could have 
informed the claim that 28 fire pumps would be delivered to communities by Christmas? if 
so please provide it 
 
Please find attached, as the Appendix to this response, an email chain of 9 October 2025 between 
the Deputy Chief Executive Operational Response and National Manager Fleet that informed the 
statement that Fire and Emergency have 28 fire pumps coming out to communities by Christmas. 
Some information has been withheld under section 9(2)(a) of the OIA, to protect the privacy of 
natural persons. 
 
The statement made referred to the 28 Angloco MAN Type 3 appliances. While it was stated that 
these trucks would come out to communities by Christmas, training will be undertaken prior to 
them coming into service.
