Official Information Act request relating to DPMC Staff turnover and recruitment costs
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request, received on 26 September
2025. You requested:
“DPMC, since you can't answer basic questions and take accountability for poor
management recruitment then we will simplify the question for you...
1. Since 25 September 2023 to 19 September 2025 how many staff have resigned
from the OIA team at DPMC? Since 25 September 2023 to 19 September 2025
how many staff have been recruited to the OIA team at DPMC?
2. What is the total recruitment cost between 25 September 2023 to 19 September
2025 (including GST) for the OIA team.
Our understanding is that the last manager had a huge influence on how these
questions back in September 2023 were answered so here's hoping the answers this
time don't have the same interference and are truthful.”
I refer to your earlier request received under the Act dated 10 September 2025, and to our
response dated 18 September 2025.
Your request appears to be part of a continued attempt to litigate complaints against a
specific staff member, in a personal and targeted manner. In the circumstances we are
concerned this request is not a genuine request for official information. Accordingly, we
consider your request to be vexatious and it is refused under section 18(h) of the Act.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under
section 28(3) of the Act.
We do not intend to publish this response on the Department of the Prime Minister and
Cabinet’s website.
