Re: Official Information Act Request CDHB 9240 – Gender Reassignment Surgery Providers 
 
We  refer  to  your  email  dated  14  October  2015  requesting  the  following  information  under  the 
Official Information Act (1982): 
 
(In response to the information released by the Ministry of Health detailing that SRS provider 
selection will be determined by District Health Boards and their specialist), I request any 
information held by this DHB on prospective Male-to-Female sexual reassignment surgery 
providers.  My request is for information including but not limited to correspondence with 
prospective providers, assessments of providers or correspondence with other DHBs or specialists. 
 
Canterbury DHB submits gender reassignment requests to the Ministry of Health under the High Cost 
Treatment Pool. 
 
Canterbury DHB has not had correspondence with, or made assessments of, potential providers.
