I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request dated 12th August. 
My response to each part of your request can be found below. 
1. Can the NZ Police please confirm the Name, and Bank account number.
The name and bank account number for paying infringement fees are as follows: 
Account Name: Police Infringement Bureau or New Zealand Police 
Account Number: 03-0049-0000802-27

2. Can the NZ police please confirm that the Account receiving these funds is
indeed a Crown Bank Account.
I can confirm that the bank account mentioned in my response to question 1 is a crown 
bank account. 
3. Can NZ Police please confirm the number of Infringement notices issued with this
error since CoP went live across the board at Easter 2025.
Due to the substantial amount of work that would be required to research and col ate the 
information you have requested; we are refusing this part of your request under section 
18(f) of the OIA. 
The bank account details listed on the infringement notice are correct, however Police 
appreciates that the name of our bank account could be clearer. We are working on this 
and wil  be updating the details listed on the infringement notice in due course. As 
mentioned in question 1 of my response to your request, the correct details are listed on 
our website.

4.  Can NZ Police (Infringement Bureau) advise the number of emails / letters / 
communications they have received on this matter since November 2024 when 
CoP commenced. 
Due to the substantial amount of work that would be required to research and col ate the 
information you have requested; we are refusing this part of your request under section 
18(f) of the OIA. The Police Infringement Bureau receives hundreds of correspondences 
via email, phone cal s and letters daily, and it would take us a significant amount of time 
to go through each one to determine the amount of correspondence we have received in 
relation to the CoP.  
I trust that this information is satisfactory in answering your request. If you are not 
satisfied, you have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
