Kia Ora
Good news – the Minister of Internal Affairs has given her support for the full passport redesign as
proposed. This means we continue with the pathway to 25/26 as planned.
The only request from the Minister is that we revert to English ahead of Te Reo Māori where both
are used. We have confirmed we will do that.
This is a significant milestone and one we should be really proud to have landed. Well done tima.
I’m looking forward to our next hui where we can look ahead now with confidence about the
delivery of the new passport into peoples’ hands.
