Thank you for your email of 1 July 2025 requesting the following information under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
I am trying to find Notifications of Exemptions from Land Transport Rules. Specifically 
Exemptions from the Graduated Driver Licensing System. 
… 
The latest I can find in the Gazette online is dated 21 Jan 2022 and covers the period 1 April 
2021 to 30 June 2021. I have confirmed with the Gazette that there are no further publications 
able to be found. 
 
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) recently prepared the exemption notices from Quarter 3 
2021, to Quarter 2 2025. These wil  be available online within the next 6 to 8 weeks.  
 
As such, your request has been refused under section 18(d), as the information requested wil  soon be 
publicly available. 
 
Under section 28 of the Act, you have the right to ask the Ombudsman to review my decision to refuse
