Thank you for your request of 11 June 2025. You have asked:
What is the exact nature of the destruction? Are the books to be recycled, and if so, please
detail the process involved and how the paper and other materials is to be reused.
• Are the books headed to landfil ? Are some of them going to landfil ?
• Releasing the cost of this operation is in the public interest. I wish to know the cost
in dol ar terms of this destruction of public property.
The information that you have requested is commercially sensitive, and because of this, I am
withholding the information under Section 9(2(b))i of the Act, as the making available the
information would be likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person
who supplied or who is the subject of the information.
I consider that the withholding of information as mentioned above is not outweighed by
other considerations which render it desirable, in the public interest, to make that
information available.
