INFORMATION REQUEST We write in response to your request dated 15 May 2025 in which you requested the following
information:
1. Please provide a list of all payments made by Tauranga City Council between 1
January 2023 and 31 December 2024 to:
• External consultants
• Professional services firms
• Contractors
• Legal advisors
2. Please limit the results to individual payments of $10,000 or more. For each
payment, I request the following details (as held by the Council):
• Supplier name
• Description of the service or work provided
• Date of invoice or payment
• Amount paid
• Council department or project the payment relates to (if available)
The Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (“
LGOIMA”) requires that
we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days after the day
we received your request. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that time limit and we
are writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision, to
Friday, 27 June
2025. This extension is necessary because your request is for, and necessitates a search through,
large quantities of information and meeting the original time limit would unreasonably
interfere with our operations. We are working on your request as a matter of priority and will
endeavour to respond to you prior to the extended timeframe.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
