Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987
Re: Rock sea wall at Hatfields Beach
I refer to your official information request dated 05 May 2025 for a copy of all meeting notes,
emails and advise provided, related to the installation and removal of the rock sea wall at
Hatfields beach.
You have been advised that this was an Auckland Transport project, therefore was request
was transferred to them in accordance with section 12 of the Local Government
Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).
You have clarified your request on 13 May 2025 to:
“I am specifically looking for all meeting notes, emails, communications and advise
provided to Auckland Council in relation to any rock seawall or retaining at Hatfields
Beach. For a time period Jan 2023 until now. Including any communications (internal
or external) relating to any resource consents for the same.”
I have liaised with our Parks and Community Facilities department and Resources Consent
department and I can confirm that Auckland Council has not been provided any advice in
relation to any rock seawall or retaining wall at Hatfields Beach.
Your request is therefore refused under section 17(e) of the LGOIMA where the information
requested cannot be provided to you on the basis that it does not exist.
