the Of icial Information Act 1982 (the Act) for the following information:
1. Any documentation relating to the consideration, proposal, or rationale for making
any changes or proposed or potential future changes to the existing privacy function
in your organisation in the period 2024 to 2026
2. This includes any documentation relating to how your organisation wil ensure
compliance with the privacy act after any proposed changes to your organisation’s
privacy function are implemented
3. Any documentation relating to your current privacy function’s reporting to your

raised by your organisation’s privacy team during this period
5. An outline of your current privacy function’s role, reporting lines, job description,
pay band, and resourcing (by FTE)
The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working
days (30 May 2025) after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it wil not be
possible to meet that time limit and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of
the time to make our decision under section15A(1)(b) of the Act, to
1 July 2025 (20 working
days).
This extension is required as consultations necessary to decide on your request are such
that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this response.
Information about how to make a complaint is available online at
www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or by phone on 0800 802 602.
Yours sincerely
