“I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the change we witnessed on the first day of our revamped school lunch program. As the students eagerly lined up for lunch today, there was an air of anticipation and curiosity. The aroma wafting from the trays as they were distributed created an atmosphere of excitement. It was clear that something had changed for the better. When the time came to indulge in our meals, the enthusiasm grew even stronger. The dishes were not only served steaming hot. It was a pleasant surprise to see the students savoring every bite with genuine delight. Even those who had previously opted out of the healthy options couldn't resist joining in on the culinary adventure. The positive feedback from the students was overwhelming. They were buzzing with excitement, sharing their newfound appreciation for the flavorful and nutritious meals they had just enjoyed. It was heartwarming to see them animatedly discussing the deliciousness of the food. I wanted to personally reach out and acknowledge the positive start to the year. The efforts put into improving our school lunches have not gone unnoticed. Today was a significant step forward. Looking ahead, we are eagerly awaiting what the future holds for our school lunches. We have full faith in the dedication and commitment you have shown towards this important aspect of student well-being. Once again, thank you for the positive change you have brought to our school lunches.”

“I just wanted to send you a gratitude email regarding school lunches. I have only recently started working at one of our local schools here in waikato. So I was in a bit of a shocked state when I heard some of the comments "by adults" regarding "free" school meals.
“Part of my job is to help out with the lunch programme. I'm tired of reading all the negative comments about the lunches. I see it first hand everyday and the kids absolutely love the meals. It's food....it's hot....what's to moan about? The adults moan...not the kids. We are extremely grateful for everything you send through to our school. The kids look forward to it every day.”

“I can confirm our lunches arrived today at 11am which is fantastic. We hope that this continues The trays have significantly improved meal conditions upon arrival, preventing damage and spil s. The kura is returning them with the cambro boxes and hopes this system continues.”
“Outbound call to sch checking on their final std meal number. Sch confirmed that 740 std meals in the portal is correct. Asked for any feedback on the meals and deliveries. Sch is happy with the meals and deliveries are always on time. They also mentioned that they can make any changes in the portal if they need to without any issue.”

“Thank you for the plums for our kura today. They were very well received. We did receive a few back in the hal kitchen after eating time, but that is always good because I wil have aakonga who come up at 2nd break and many of them wanted plums. Fruit is very well received at kura and I know that kaiako wil keep fruit in their classes for 2nd break as well. Fruit is definitely a better option that Pita Bread”
“Tamatea High School has had the meals delivered each day on time by a friendly driver. Rubbish is collected the next day and on Fridays collected the same day. Students are enjoying the variety of the snacks. I have had good communication with Mike from Compass.”
