Dear Andrew, 
 
Thank you for your email of 9 July 2025 to the Office of the Hon James Meager requesting information relating to 
Cost Recovery Proposals under the Airports (Cost Recovery for Processing of International Travellers) Act 2014 
has been considered under the Of icial Information Act 1982 (OIA). 
 
You requested the following: 
 
Under the provisions of the Official Information Act 1982, I am writing to request access to the 
meeting notes, in either digital or hard copy format, from meetings held on October 1, 2024, and 
September 26, 2024. This includes any discussions, decisions, and actions that were documented 
during these meetings by you, your office staff including political and departmental staff. 
 
Part of your request has been transferred to me for response because the matters you raise fall under my 
portfolio responsibilities as Minister for Biosecurity. 
 
Please find attached as Appendix One, the requested information.  
 
Some information has been withheld pursuant to the following sections of the OIA: 
•  Section 9(2)(b)(ii) – to protect information where the making available of the information would be 
likely unreasonably to prejudice the commercial position of the person who is the subject of the 
information. 
•  Section 9(2)(h) – to maintain legal professional privilege. 
 
I am satisfied that, in the circumstances of this case, the withholding of the information is not outweighed by other 
considerations which render it desirable in the public interest to make the information available.
