Thank you for your information request dated 15/04/2025, for 'Love is Love' library campaign. 
You asked us - 
Would you please provide the spend for what you call “love is love” with 
LQBTQ+ [sic] objectives for 2025? 
The ‘Love is Love’ campaign was part of our general programme of activations and 
displays that take place in libraries throughout the year celebrating various cultural and 
community events. 
The spend on this campaign was as follows: 
Marketing 
$749.87 
Campaign promotion on the Auckland 
Council Libraries social channels 
throughout February 2025 
Prizes 
$500 (5 x $100 eGift cards) 
Customers who borrowed three or more 
romance novels in February 2025 were 
automatical y entered into the draw 
Total 
$1249.87 
In addition, there were other costs related to staff time and printing, which are part of 
standard library service delivery and cannot be readily quantified.  
The decision by Auckland Council to release the information contained in this response was
