Thank you for your email of 18 January 2025, asking Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora for the 
following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
By batch, please provide the number of Pfizer Covid vaccine doses retrieved from 
provider sites for Interwaste disposal contracts. If doses of any batch were retrieved from 
provider sites for any purpose other than disposal through Interwaste disposal contracts, 
please provide by batch:

ii)Number of doses
iii)Destination (interim and final if known)
Response 
Appendix One contains the list of batches and doses wasted at provider sites. Please note that 
Health New Zealand captures vial wastage in the inventory system, so this corresponds to total vial 
wastage at provider sites.  
Vial wastage at provider sites is disposed of via Interwaste process and, to the best of our 
knowledge, there are no batches retrieved from provider sites for any purpose other than disposal 
through Interwaste disposal contracts.
