Official information request regarding financial expenditure on Crown prosecutions

1.
I refer to your official information request of 13 January 2025 to the Ministry of
Justice. Part of that request, namely for the “annual expenditure on the Crown
Prosecution Services”, was transferred to us on 16 January 2025 to respond.
2.
We are treating your request as referring to the funding provided to all service
providers that undertake Crown prosecutions in New Zealand.
3.
The table
enclosed at the end of this letter sets out the amounts of funding for the
2021/22, 2022/23, 2023/24 and 2024/25 financial years, broken down by month.
The 2024/25 amounts cover the period of July 2024 to January 2025 (year to date,
YTD).
