(MBIE) reques�ng, under the Official Informa�on Act 1982 (the Act), the fol owing informa�on:
For the period from 1 August 2024 please supply
1) The Cabinet updates and papers/briefings on the proposed sale of Whakapapa Ski Field and the
requested crown support for this transaction, both financial and otherwise.
2) Correspondence between MBIE and the receiver or liquidator on this matter.
3) Al external advice received in relation to the sale.
4) Al advice from other departments in relation to the sale.
5) All MBIE discussion in relation to the sale.
On 7 February 2025, you agreed to narrow the scope of your request, from “al correspondence” to:

I am wri�ng to advise you that MBIE wil provide a response but needs to extend the �me available to
answer your request. MBIE’s response wil be sent to you no later than 4 April 2025.
The reason for the extension is that your request is for a large quan�ty of informa�on and mee�ng the
original �me limit would unreasonably interfere with our opera�ons. Addi�onal y, consulta�ons with third
par�es necessary to make a decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably
be made within the original �me limit.
