I refer to your request for official information of 16 October 2024 in which you have requested the

The CV and the Recommendation or Cover letter relating to the appointment of Sue Hayward as 
Honorary Professor Nursing 
Under the Official Information Act 1982 (Act) the University of Waikato (University) has considered 
your request and responds as follows. 
The University refuses your request for the CV of Sue Hayward pursuant to section 9(2)(a) of the 
Act to protect the privacy of the individual. 
The University refuses your request for the Recommendation  or  Cover letter relating to the 
appointment pursuant to section 18(e) as the document alleged to contain the information requested 
does not exist. 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
