Dear Dave Sharpe
Request for Information – Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act (the Act) 1987
We refer to your email dated 16 August 2024 for:
I’m keen to find out whether there has been funding al ocated for repair of the
road between Point Howard and Eastbourne, as part of Tupua Horo Nuku project.
I’d like to know:
- has there been funding for road repair/remediation allocated as part of this
project
- if so, how much has been al ocated, and
- when wil the repairs and remediation take place (as damage occurs, or once
the project has been completed wil the road be resurfaced)
If no funding has been al ocated for additional damage done to this stretch of
road as a direct result of the heavy vehicles involved in this project, why not? In
this instance, does HCC have an estimate of the cost of the repairs for the
duration of the project?
Response:
There are no extra funds al ocated for road maintenance, through the Tupua Horo
Nuku Project budget.
However, maintenance of roads across the Hutt City network are programmed by
the Council Maintenance and Renewals team.
