Thank you for your request of 6 June 2024 to the Reserve Bank of New Zealand – Te Pūtea Matua 
(RBNZ) as follows: 
 
May I kindly request a current org chart of the organization. Please provide name and title for all 
customer facing team, I understand some team are public facing and information has already 
been made public, hence there is no issue disclose their title and full name.  
 

Response 
 
An organisational chart is attached to this response at Appendix 1. Please note that, as provided for 
under section 16(1)(e) of the Official Information Act 1982 (OIA), a summary of the full organisational 
chart to directorate level is being made available pursuant to section 16(2)(a) of the OIA, which 
provides that  information should be made available in the way preferred by the person requesting 
it unless to do so would impair efficient administration. 
 
The RBNZ’s organisational structure information is managed through an internal human resources 
system. While this system allows a full organisational chart to be produced, it is administratively 
inefficient to create a chart to the level of detail requested, when a summary is available.   
 
The part of your request for the full names of all customer facing staff and their position titles is 
refused under section 18(e) of the OIA, as the document alleged to contain the information 
requested does not exist.  
 
The RBNZ does not have frontline staff in the same sense that agencies providing services directly 
to the public do. The RBNZ provides information about its customer facing roles in response to 
question  67  of  the  RBNZ’s  2022/23  Annual  Review by the Finance and Expenditure Select
