OFFICIAL INFORMATION REQUEST FOR Financial allocations related to ATMS 
2020-2024 
 
I refer to your official information request dated 30 April 2025 for financial al ocation related to ATMS 
2020-2024. 
 
Your request as currently framed will be very difficult to meet without substantial research, col ation 
and review.  As already stated in our response dated 29 April 2025: Ruapehu District Council did not 
separately monitor or record the costs related to the development and implementation of the ATMS 
between 2020 and 2024. To research, review and provide a response to your query would take a 
significant amount of time and would have a significant impact on our current operations. There are 
hundreds  of  transactions  that  may  relate  to  your  query and  each  would  need  to  be  reviewed  to 
confirm if some or all of the transactions recorded do relate to this query.  
 
Unless your request is amended, we may have to refuse it under section 17(f) of the LGOIMA, which 
applies where the information cannot be made available without substantial collation or research. 
 
Please let us know before close of business 23 May 2025 whether you are prepared to amend your 
request and, if so, how?  It would be most helpful if you could share with us what you hope to achieve 
from the information you are requesting?  What is the end purpose for having this information made 
available to you?  If we could understand this, we may be able to provide alternative information that
