Thank you for your email that was transferred from the Ministry of Health | Manatū Hauora on 23 
February 2024,  asking for the following under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):  
Please provide the number of doses of Covid vaccines administered per batch (i.e. number 
of doses administered per manufacturer provided batch identifier). 
Response 
As you have noted, in our previous response to Official Information Act requests HNZ00025554 
and HNZ00025920 dated 6 October 2023 we have assessed what would be required in created 
this information. 
Significant human error in the data input would prevent us from providing a complete dataset 
which would result in the data being inaccurate and misleading. To create a partial response would 
require Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) to divert personnel from their core duties 
and allocate extra time to complete this task. The diversion of these resources would impair Health 
NZ’s ability to carry out our other core functions. As such, your request is refused under sections 
18(e) and 18(f) of the Act, being that parts of the information do not exist and the remaining 
information requires substantial collation. 
I have considered whether fixing a charge for the supply of the information or extending the 
timeframe for response would enable Health NZ to respond. I do not consider that either option 
would remove the impact that supplying the information would have on our other operations.
