Official Information Act 1982 request – Cost of External Meetings 
Dear T Murray 
 
This letter responds to your Of icial Information Act 1982 (OIA) request received by Sport New 
Zealand on 17 February 2024 requesting the below information: 
Can you please provide the dates and the cost of any staff meetings held at external 
venues for Sports NZ and High Performance Sports NZ from 1 January 2023. For 
clarification - costs should include the venue and equipment hire, and catering costs for 
each meeting. 
 
The OIA requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working days 
after the day we received your request. Unfortunately, it wil  not be possible to meet that time limit 
and we are therefore writing to notify you of an extension of the time to make our decision to 16 April 
2024. 
 
We need to extend the timeframe of our response to your request by 20 working days, pursuant to 
section 15A(1)(b) of the OIA as consultations necessary to make a decision on the request are such 
that a proper response to the request cannot be reasonably be made within the original time limit. 
  
Please note that if you are not satisfied with this response, you have the right to make a complaint 
to the Ombudsman under section 28(3) of the OIA. Information about how to contact the
