Official Information request - Cycleways
Thank you for your request made under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings
Act 1987 (the Act), received on 31 January 2024. You requested the fol owing information:
• “…al of the consultation with affected parties along Kent & Cambridge Terrace for the
cycleway project completed.
Specifical y requesting:
o Number of businesses / organizations along those streets that council
representatives met with them
o The dates they were met with
o Memo / notes associated with the meeting that was had with the parties
o Number of landlords that were met with / consulted with - memos, notes
associated with each individual meeting
• I am also specifically after meetings had with the fire service given they are directly
impacted, notes from those meetings, dates of meeting and correspondence between the
parties since prior to the project and since including emails between the parties, internal
memos
• Ultimately all correspondence - please include al correspondence between the parties for
Wellington projects in general and impact on emergency services across the region.”
We inform you that we have interpreted the information request in your second and third bullet
points above as relating only to information about Kent and Cambridge Terraces. Could you please
confirm our interpretation is correct.
If your second and third bullet points apply more widely than to just Kent and Cambridge Terraces,
we wil be refusing these parts of your request under section 17(g) of the Act, given the amount of
resource required to process this part of your request.
Right of review
If you are not satisfied with the Council’s response, you may request the Office of the Ombudsman
to investigate the Council’s decision. Further information is available on the Ombudsman website,
