OFFICIAL INFORMATION ACT REQUEST
I refer to your official information request of 12 January for:
-
May I kindly request the all emails you have send to your nomination service
database from 1st Jan 2023 to 12 Jan 2024.
On 26 January you provided further clarification:
-
I am only requesting the email sent with regards to the vacancy notification. Not
about training, holiday greeting etc.
During this period more than 3200 emails were sent from the Nominations email inbox. We
have assessed that of this number around 80 emails were sent to individuals or groups of
people notifying them of a board vacancy that they may wish to consider.
Under section 18(f) of the Official Information Act we are declining the content of the
individual emails. This is because substantial collation wil be needed to provide the
information requested, including the need to consult with a large volume of recipients across
government agencies and public sector boards - a substantial workload for the current one
FTE allocated to support the Ministry’s nomination service.
A previous OIA supplied to you on November 27, 2023 outlines the individual board and
committee vacancies that these emails related to.

Ministry’s website. If you have any concerns or comments related to this, please let us know
by emaili
ng [email address], within two weeks of the date of this letter.
