Thank you for your Official Information Act request to the Ministry of Health – Manatū 
Hauora on 31 December 2023. Your request has been forwarded to Health New Zealand – 
Te Whatu Ora for a response.  
You requested a list of organisations that are funded to provide emergency medical 
response under the Primary Response in Medical Emergencies (PRIME) Programme. 
Te Whatu Ora contracts with Hato Hone St John (HHStJ) for the general administration of 
PRIME for health-related services, including administration of payments to general practices. 
The Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC) funds PRIME for injury-related services 
through separate contracts with service providers of PRIME. I am advised that ACC will 
respond to you separately about ACC-funded PRIME organisations.  
As Te Whatu Ora does not contract directly with the organisations that deliver PRIME 
services, we are instead providing a link to an interactive map of PRIME sites contracted by 
HHStJ on behalf of Te Whatu Ora: PRIME site map. If you require a list of organisations’ 
legal names, you will need to contact HHStJ directly at [email address].
