Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request of 29 December 2023. You 
requested: 
 
The unformed legal road section of Te Toiroa Road is near Ngunguru, in Northland. It 
runs between the formed part of Te Toiroa Road and the end of Pukenui Road. It's a 
single-lane track crossing an escarpment. Signposting indicates that it is shared by 
walkers, cyclists, horse riders, motorcyclists, and other motor vehicle drivers. 
 
I'd like to know the number and type of vehicle-related incident complaints made to the 
police concerning this track (legal road) from mid-2018 to the present. 
 
We have searched al  incoming calls from 01 January 2018 to 24 January 2024 and can 
advise there have been 2 phones cal s where the location has been given as Te Toiroa 
Road. 
29 July 2021 – Vehicle speeding around corner, almost flipped 
29 April 2022 – Vehicle parked on road/ditch – possible vehicle crash
