Thank you for your email dated 14 May 2024 to Kāinga Ora – Homes and Communities,
requesting the following information under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act):
Please provide a copy of all the surveys completed via survey monkey or whatever
medium it was that was used to gauge feedback from the community. You may
redact the personal names and email addresses from the data.
To protect the privacy of those who have responded to the survey in the small population of
Ohakune, I am withholding the full survey results you have requested under section 9(2)(a)
of the Act, to
‘protect the privacy of natural persons…’ However, for your information, a
summary of the survey results has been provided with this response below.
I have considered the public interest considerations in section 9(1) of the Act and it is my
view that the reason for withholding information in this response is not outweighed by the
public interest in making that information available.
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of this decision.
