Decisions relating to the information contained in this response (q’s 1-4) was made by
Paul Tyler,
General Manager Property, for
Tātaki Auckland Unlimited sites, and
a senior manager with the
delegated authority from the Chief Executive of Eke Panuku.
5. How many proposed tower/ pole/ light/ building mounted site proposals or installation designs
have been modified by Auckland Council. Please include the details of the initial proposed
locations or designs and the final locations or designs as put forward by Auckland Council.
We are unable to respond to this portion of the request under Section 17(e) of the Local
Government Of icial Information and Meetings Act 1987, where the information requested
does not exist.
6. Was there any design review process to optimise the look of the tower/ pole/ streetlight and
building mounted towers to minimise the impact on visual amenity. If so can you please
provide the details of this process, and explain how the current grey cylinder look was
decided upon.
We are unaware of who designed the ‘current grey cylinder’ and there is no set Auckland
Council review process. In the majority of cases, the telcos were in place on the land when
the land was purchased by Auckland Council
7. What affected party notification process does the Council undertake in relation to sites on
land controlled by it, or sites on land controlled by a CCO or private landowner i.e.,
Notification of Council or/ Local Board/ Resident or Ratepayer. Please provide details of this.
The is no set notification process. As mentioned above most of the telco installation existed
on the land prior to Auckland Council purchasing the property or the property is otherwise
transferred to Eke Panuku.
The decision by
Eke Panuku to release the information contained in this response (q’s 5-7)was
made by
