I refer to your official request of 10 June 2023 for information on each building currently identified 
as intended/likely to be used as an EOC after a seismic event. Accordingly, we can confirm that 
the Waimakariri District Council has the following two buildings which have been earmarked for 
use as EOCs after a seismic event: 
 
• 
Council Chamber, Rangiora Service Centre, Rangiora – the building was at a minimum of 
67% nbs and is consented as an IL2 structure. 
 
• 
Mainpower  NZ  Ltd  premises  at  172  Fernside  Road,  Rangiora  -  the  building  was  at 
approximately 100%nbs and is consented as an IL4 structure.
