We respond to your request for Official Information received by Council by way of Transfer from
Environment Canterbury on 22 June 2022 for information on this Council’s seismic building rating
for buildings intended/likely to be used as the ECC or EOC fol owing an event. In particular you
requested the building/s current %nbs at IL4, the date of the last assessment and the type of the
seismic assessment completed.
The information you have requested is as follows:
Currently the EOC following a seismic event for Selwyn is the Council Headquarters (SDC HQ)
located at 2 Norman Kirk Drive, Rolleston. The building was originally built in 2006 and underwent
seismic strengthening along with an execu�ve pod addi�on in 2019. The table below details the
%NBS for the various areas within the building fol owing the building works carried out in 2019.
