Official information request for details on seismic building assessments for Civil 
Defence Emergency Control Centre  
 
I refer to your official information request dated 13 June 2023 for details on the seismic 
assessment of the building in which the Civil Defence Emergency Control Centre is located.  
 
Environment Canterbury do not hold the information you have requested, so we have 
transferred your request to the Ministry of Justice who manage the building the Emergency 
Control Centre is located in.  
 
In these circumstances, we are required by section 12 of the Local Government Official 
Information and Meetings Act to transfer your request.  
 
You will hear further from the Ministry of Justice concerning your request.
