Thank you for your email of 17 May 2023 to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) 
requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following information: 
 
I'm writing this to get more detailed information on the Skil ed Migrant Category (SMC) visa applications 
received from offshore starting from 11 November 2022 draw. 
 
1) As of today, I only see the monthly view of applications received / allocated. Can I get the detailed view 
like the date / week of the applications received and applications allocated to officers? 
 
2) Also, for future updates can you include information like  number of approved / declined applications 
per day / week basis ? 
 
3) Also, the list doesn't differentiate on the category and onshore/offshore applications. Can you provide 
this information and for future updates? 
Ex: onshore / offshore applications received / allocated / approved list on  a day / week basis 
 
Our response 
 
Please refer to Tables one–three in the appendix for the number of onshore and offshore Skilled Migrant 
Category  (SMC)  applications  submitted,  approved  and  allocated  to  case  officers  by  week,  between 11 
November 2022 and 17 May 2023. This data is as at 6 June 2023. 
 
In addition, you can utilise the MBIE data migration explorer, which is a publicly available research tool, 
and is updated each month. It can be found at the fol owing link:

With regard to your request for future updates on approved/declined applications on a day/week basis, 
and onshore/offshore applications, INZ does not currently intend to add these details to its website.
