Thank you for your email of 6 April 2023 to the Ministry of Education requesting the fol owing 
information: 
1) Attendance data prior to 2011. I have the data on the Education Counts website from Term 2 
of 2011 onwards. If you have any data for the years 2007 to 2010, I would like the national 
proportion of students attending more than 90% of the time, between 80% and 90%, between 
70% and 80% and under 70%. 
2) The overall attainment rate of NCEA Level 1 amongst Year 11 students from 2007 to 2022. 
3) The overall attainment rate of NCEA Level 2 amongst Year 12 students from 2007 to 2022. 
4) The overall attainment rate of NCEA Level 3 amongst Year 13 students from 2007 to 2022. 
5) The overall attainment rate of University Entrance amongst Year 13 students from 2007 to 
2022. 
Your request has been considered under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act). 
We have determined that questions 2 to 5 of the information requested are more closely connected 
with the functions of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority (NZQA). I have therefore transferred 
this part of your request to NZQA in accordance with section 14(b)(i ) of the Act.
