Thank you for your email of 2 February 2023 to Oranga Tamariki— Ministry for Children
(Oranga Tamariki), requesting the following information under Of icial Information Act 1982
(the Act):
• Please provide all correspondence including but not limited to emails, texts and
phone logs related to the overcharging of $60,000 by Mr Tukaki inclusive of dates
of discovery, internal emails and any Ministers that were copied into
correspondence.
• Please provide a copy of the invoices that were submitted and subsequently paid
back and the dates these invoices covered.
• Please provide all correspondence relating to Mr Tukaki’s resignation, including but
not limited to emails, texts, records of phone calls etc.
• Please provide all correspondence between Oranga Tamariki and Minister Kelvin
Davis concerning the over-charging by Mr Tukaki or any other board members.
The consultations necessary to make a decision on this request are such that a proper
response cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.  For this reason, I am
extending  the  time  limit  for  providing  you  with  the  information  to  31 March  2023,  in
accordance with section 15A(1)(b) of the Act.  We wil  try to respond sooner than this date
if possible.
