I write following your recent Ombudsman complaint regarding the delay in Police 
responding to your Official Information Act request IR-01-22-31031.
Police sincerely apologise to both yourself and the Ombudsman for the delay in 
responding to the request, which is unacceptable and appreciate the frustration this 
causes.  
A reminder of Police expectations and the provisions of the Act has been provided to 
the workgroup involved to ensure this situation does not occur again. 
In addition, the Director of Ministerial Services has recently emailed all workgroup 
Directors and the Senior Leadership Team to remind them of Police obligations to 
the Act.
