Your request for information under the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act 1987 
(LGOIMA) – CAS-617794-X1D4G0 
I refer to your official information request dated 2 September 2022 requesting the pre-recorded audio files 
used for the announcements at Auckland train stations. 
As previously advised, there is a contract in place with the voice talent agency (Johnson & Laird) that 
prevents us from releasing any of the recordings to a third party. 
 
The licensing agreement Auckland Transport has is that the recordings can only be used on buses, trains, 
ferries and facilities. 
 
I have attached the spreadsheets which include al  the scripts for the PA announcements. 
 
We trust this clarifies your request, but should you believe that we have not dealt with your request 
appropriately, you are able to make a complaint to the Office of the Ombudsman in accordance with section 
27(3) of the LGOIMA Act and seek an investigation and review in regard to this matter.
