Re: Employment cases - Resource Consents 
 
I refer to your email, which we received on 2 September 2014 in which you asked how many 
employment cases have seen current or former employees of Central Resource Consenting 
and Compliance take action against their employer for any employment- related grievances 
in the past four years and what were the details/ outcomes of those court cases. 
 
There have been no cases in the period from 1 November 2010 until now involving current 
or former employees of Central Resource Consenting and Compliance heard by the 
Employment Relations Authority or the Employment Court. Therefore your request is refused 
under Section 17 (e) of the Local Government Official Information and Meetings Act – that 
the information does not exist.   
 
I remind you of your right to seek review of Council’s refusal to disclose any information 
under this letter by application to the Office of the Ombudsman.
