Thank you for your official information request transferred by the Ministry of Health and received by Capital
& Coast (CCDHB) and Hutt Valley (HVDHB) District Health Boards on 30 November 2021 regarding
Surveillance guidelines after removal of colorectal adenomatous polyps.

Hospital?
Capital & Coast District Health follows the national guidelines, which is available at the web address
below:-

Noting these are guidelines and as such management may vary based on individual circumstances for
example patient comorbidity etc.

Between 1 November 2020 and 31 October 2021 the Gastroenterology department at CCDHB received a
total of 2541 referrals for a first specialist assessment.
