Dear [User 7569 name removed]
I refer to your Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) request dated 21 December 2021 for
further information about infringements for expired warrants of fitness and vehicle licences.
You requested:

day (15 September to 30 November 2021)
Please find included a spreadsheet breaking down the infringement notices by date.
To capture the additional information you requested, the data needed to be re-extracted
from our database. Since the response to your first request, new information has been
made available and the total number of infringement offence notices recorded has
increased to 13,520.

The date of 21 July 2021 was chosen as this was four weeks prior to Aotearoa

expired driver licences, licence endorsements and identification cards to 31 May
2022, as licensing agents did not have the capacity to renew all the licences that
expired between 21 July 2021 and 30 November 2021.
I trust this information is satisfactory in answering your request.
Yours sincerely
Superintendent Steve Greally
