Official Information Request - Homes before and after Building Act 1992 
Thanks for your enquiry made under the Official Information Act.   
Unfortunately, QV are unable to provide bulk data as described in your email of Friday 30th April 
2021.   The District Valuation Data (DVR) is owned by individual councils throughout New Zealand 
and QV do not have a license to sell or supply the DVR data in a bulk format. On this basis, we 
decline your request in accordance with section 2(ba)[i] of the Official Information Act. 
We also note that some of the detailed information you describe in your email, doesn’t exist, 
namely:  
  Column D, Year of construction 
  Column E, Year of Earthquake strengthening (if done on property) 
On this basis, we also decline your request in accordance with section 10 of the Official Information 
Act. 
If you would like to get a quote for the supply of this data, we could refer you to a party that does 
have a licence for the sale this data. 
If you wish to discuss this decision with us, or seek an appropriate licenced source for this
