Dear Scott
Official Information Act request relating to minutes associated with change of alert level in
February 2021
Thank you for your Official Information Act 1982 (the Act) request received on 15 February 2021. You
requested:
One: The Cabinet paper and associated minute related to the decision to move the
Auckland Region to COVID-19 Alert Level 3 and the rest of the country to Alert Level 2
on 14 February 2021;
Two: A copy of Cabinet’s National Resurgence Response Plan for COVID-19; and
Three: A copy of the most recently produced Weekly Monitoring Report, prior to 14
February 2021.
I have decided under section 15A of the Act to extend the time limits for deciding on your request by
an additional 20 working days. Consequently, the extended due date for your response will be 12
April 2020. The extension is required because of the consultations needed to make a decision on your
request. Despite the extension, a response will be sent to you as soon as possible.
You have the right to ask the Ombudsman to investigate and review my decision under section 28(3)
of the Act.
Yours sincerely
Sarah Corbett
