Official information request for funding panel members’ details 
 
Thank you for your email  of  10 August 2020  requesting  the following under the Official 
Information Act 1982 (the Act): 
 
Waste Minimisation Fund 
Freshwater Improvement Fund 
Te Mana o Te Wai Fund 
Community Environment Fund 
Environmental Legal Assistance Fund  
  
Can I please request the panel member name of each funds, their bio if 
available. How you call for public application of each panel member positions 
and how much are their pay rate. Each member's term of appointment and job 
description of their position.  
 
The Act requires that we advise you of our decision on your request no later than 20 working 
days after the day we received your request.  
 
The Ministry for the Environment is extending the timeframe for its response to your request 
under section 15A(1)(b) of the Act, as consultations necessary to make a decision on the 
request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the original 
timeframe. 
 
We will now respond to your request on, if not before, 6 October 2020, which is an extension 
of 20 working days.  
 
You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of my decision on 
this extension, in accordance with section 28(3) of the Act. The relevant details can be found 
at: www.ombudsman.parliament.nz.
