Thank you for your email
of 1 July 2020 requesting information about Let’s Get Wel ington Moving
under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act).
Please find attached six documents that fall within the scope of your request. Some information has
been withheld as detailed in the document schedule enclosed.
For clarity, I have answered each of your questions in turn.
1) Can LGWM please provide a copy of the 'intervention “toolbox” that identified over 150
different types of interventions that could address the problems and help to achieve the
investment objectives' as outlined in Section 4 of the Golden Mile Short List Report (June
2020)?

2) Can LGWM please provide a copy of the ' “root cause” analysis of the problems, which
resulted in identification of four key issues relating to dwell times, congestion, intersection
delay / variability, congestion delay / variability and pedestrian / urban amenity' as outlined in
Section 4 of the Golden Mile Short List Report (June 2020)?

3) Can LGWM please provide a copy of the tool that documented 'over 250 scenarios were
identified for the sub-sections of the Golden Mile' and the assessments by which LGWM
decided which scenarios 'it didn’t consider feasible or effective from further consideration'
resulting in 21 scenarios as outlined in Section 4 of the Golden Mile Short List Report (June
2020)?

4) Can LGWM please provide a copy of the assessment tool in which LGWM did 'further apply
the mitigation / intervention strategies to each of the 21 sub-sections' which 'led to the
identification of each scenario’s key features / attributes and enabled before and after cross
sections to be developed' as outlined in Section 4 of the Golden Mile Short List Report (June
2020)?

5) Can LGWM please provide a copy of the MCA scoring tool in which 'Each scenario sub-
section was then subjected to an MCA process' and 'As a consequence of the MCA
evaluation, nine further scenarios were removed, which left 12 sub-section scenarios
remaining for short list assessment' as outlined in Section 4 of the Golden Mile Short List
Report (June 2020)?

6) Can LGWM please provide a copy of the scoring in the '“decision making tree” as set out in
Figure 12.' where 'a number of sub-section scenarios from the Long List Report were able to
be ruled out' as outlined in Section 6 of the Golden Mile Short List Report (June 2020)?

Pedestrian realm benefits with alternative input assumptions ' on page 50 of the Golden Mile

The author of this report, MRCagney, have recently reviewed the information in this Appendix, and
have noted the following updates:
• All base benefit estimates assumed to represent 2016, so growth rates in report are applied to
inflate to benefit years 2022 (first year) and beyond
• On page 2, vehicle annualisation factor is noted as 456, but should be 501
• Aimsun results of total vehicle-hours travelled in each option:
